Guitar learning - Secret of Chord

Saturday, March 13, 2010

Finally able to write again. What about the previous lesson? is interesting? if still less, perhaps the lesson this time we know can make things much more interesting.

The title for this post is a "secret chord". Why is it called a secret? because it seldom a music player, especially the guitar players know. In my previous post have said that not all the chord shapes to memorize, to learn how to chord into a chord, we can create our own chords, which still follow the rules is important in making the chord itself.

So dizzy you read the writing on top. this short, you already know how to shape C major chord? if you do not know see the picture below:

Consider what we need to "pick" for the ring chord C, generally, to be picked is a string 1 to 5 strings do not need to pick 6, but it does not matter if you also want to be picked. Okay, string 1 = E, string 2 = C, string 3 = G, string 4 = E, string 5 = C, strings 6 = E.

There's only 3 notes. When sorted, C, E, G. 1, 3, 5. this is the basic formula to form a major chord. easy? yes that easy. now try another chord, G chord for example.

String 1 = G, string 2 = B, string3 = G, string 4 = D, string 5 = B, strings 6 = G. sequence, G, B, D. 1, 3, 5. easy right? remember, use the formula 1, 3, 5 in accordance with the basic keys to be used. that is, if you want to search for C major chord, which use the C major scale. if you want to find a G major chord, which use the G major scale. confused? read back.

for minor tone, which is different from the formula. if the major 1, 3, 5. the minor, 1, 3b, 5. b means his tone lowered to 3 and a half. that is, C, E, G to C major and C, Eb or D #, G to C minor.

This formula is the basic formula for major and minor chords. If you are more advanced, we can just change the order of formula to 5, 1, 3 or 3, 1, 5 or, 1, 5, 3. and certainly not the only major chords and minor. If you are aware, there are chords C6, C7, C9, C11, and C13. How else is? Not to mention there is a dominant 7th, major 7th, minor 7th, minor-major 7th, major added 9. Well kinds definite enough to make us dizzy head. But the additional fact that the numbers are variations of the basic formula we learned earlier. In my next post will give formulas. Now, please review the first of what I write above will not confused to see the numbers. Enjoy
