JAKARTA - The plan of arrival of United States President Barack Obama to Indonesia, Tuesday, November 9, was greeted positively by Slank. Top music group hopes Obama will hold a dialogue with Muslims.
"I hope he can dialogue with Muslims. Let enmity of Islam and America could at least finish in peace," said personnel Slank, Bimbim, met in Kekun Cafe, Kemang, South Jakarta, on Monday (8/11/2010).

Slank hoping the arrival of Obama could give the changes to the climate of Indonesia's relationship with America. "Obviously yes. At the very least because he has a history of half-Indonesian," he added.

Bimbim hope people of this country do not trigger a cynical and negative view of Obama's arrival plans.

"If for me, give people a chance to change. Indeed, America as we hear as a super power nation. But now there is change in America when black people can rise to the top of government," he explained.

Obama's arrival coincided with natural disasters of Merapi, Bimbim hope there will be dialogue between Obama with the victims. Not only the victims of Mount Merapi, but also in Wasior flood and earthquake-tsunami in the Mentawai.

"I actually want to see Obama's dialogue with disaster victims in Indonesia," he said.
