NASA Discover the coldest star in the Universe

Thursday, February 2, 2012

Pasadena - NASA scientists claimed to find objects, similar to the coldest star in the universe. It has a temperature as cold as the human body. Like what?

Through the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) space agency, the dwarfs 'Y' which is almost impossible to be seen using light telescopes can be found. WISE is an infrared telescope found faint dwarf Y which lies fairly close to the sun at a distance of 40 light-years away.

"WISE scan the entire sky and other objects and managed to find it thanks to the faint light sensitive infrared vision," said NASA's Astrophysics Division Director Jon Morse.

Y dwarf is the coldest brown dwarf family members are often called: failed star

Because it has a very small mass to unify the atoms in its core, this star does not burn, like the sun but cool and fade over time up to these stars emit light at infrared wavelengths.

One of the Y dwarfs as written UPI, WISE 1828 +2650, previously held the record for the coldest star this. [inilah]
