South Korean Exercise the War - South Korean military exercises using live ammunition in the battle near the border with North Korea. North Korean government considers this as a provocation and will act decisively.

As reported by CNN, South Korean war games conducted in the Yellow Sea on Monday, February 20, 2012. In practice, South Korean military fired mortars using howitzers, and doing exercises with a helicopter assault.
For 1 hour exercise took place, as many as 1,000 people resident in the nearby island, one of which Yeonpyeong island were evacuated to safety. Last year, the island became a target of North Korean gunfire that killed four people.

Responding to the South Korean military exercise, the North reacted angrily. Through news agency KCNA, North Korea said that South Korean government tried to provoke. North Korea insists, they will retaliate if there are attacks that enter their territory.

"Their game with a firearm is dangerous, that it sparked a war against North Korea, but we oppose it," said the North Korean government is also quoted by the newsletter Peaceful Reunification of Korea Committee.

The committee said that the North was not kidding. The communist state is ready for total war and exercise the South would damage relations between the two Koreas. Earlier in 2010, a shootout occurred between the two countries after the Korean war exercises are returned by North Korean gunfire.

However, analysts doubt the North Korean threat will actually be implemented. Professor at Korea University, Ho-Yeol Yoo, said that North Korea's most important now is to create stability in the country, in the middle of the transition of leadership of the late Kim Jong-il to his son Kim Jong-un.
